It is a retailer. It sells three kinds of thing: physical goods that are packed and shipped, digital products that are delivered as files, and software that is licensed, versioned, and supported.

Those three modes are not a marketing device. They behave differently at the point of sale — a parcel has a carrier and a delivery estimate, a file does not; a licence can be revoked, a shipped object cannot; a subscription renews, a one-off purchase does not. The company is structured around that difference rather than pretending it away, and the terms in The Ledger are written per mode for the same reason.

The company was organized on 4 August 2026. It is new. This page is therefore a statement of structure and intent rather than a history, because a history would have to be invented — and this company does not intend to invent things. What follows is what can be verified.

Monark Commerce operates from Chicago, Illinois. Physical goods are dispatched from Chicago. Correspondence is received at the mailing address published on the contact page.

There is no public retail counter and no walk-in trade. The company sells online and ships.

On the name. Monark Commerce is the trading style of Monark Commerce LLC. Contracts, invoices, and payment instructions are issued in the full legal name.

This site takes no payment and offers nothing for sale. That is deliberate, and it is sequenced.

Three things have to be true before Monark Commerce sells anything. There has to be a catalogue that actually exists. There has to be a payment processor that has reviewed and approved the account. And the company has to be registered with the Illinois Department of Revenue, so that tax is collected correctly from the first taxable sale rather than reconstructed afterwards.

Until all three hold, the honest thing is a site that explains the business and sells nothing — so that is what this is. When they hold, the catalogue appears here and the terms in The Ledger come into force.
