Monark Commerce

Under consideration

Escrow

Monark Commerce does not offer escrow services today, and holds no money on behalf of any buyer or seller.

The position today

Not offered — no escrow service is available, and no funds are held for any party.

Escrow means a third party holding one side's money until the other side performs. It is a regulated activity, and it is not something a company should describe itself as doing before it is in a position to do it.

Monark Commerce is not holding funds for anyone. There is no escrow account, no fee schedule, and no release procedure, because there is no service.

If it is ever offered

Escrow is under consideration as part of how this company might handle higher-value transactions. It is listed here so the intention is on the record rather than announced later as though it had always been the plan.

Nothing about it is settled. Each of the following is To be confirmed:

Who holds the funds
Whether funds would be held by a licensed third party or not at all. To be confirmed
Release conditions
What has to happen before money moves, and who decides that it has. To be confirmed
Fees
What the service would cost and who pays it. To be confirmed
Disputes
How a disagreement between the two sides would be settled. To be confirmed
Licensing
Which registrations or licences would be required, and whether they have been obtained. To be confirmed

If escrow is ever offered, every line above will be answered in The Ledger and published before the first transaction, not after it. Until then this page exists to say that the service does not exist.
